April 3, General Dick Berlin, member of the board of the Koning Willem I Foundation, opened the trading of the NYSE Euronext Amsterdam. The opening was also the starting signal of the publication of the nine nominees of the Koning Willem I Award and the Koning Willem I Plaque for Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
Since 1958 the Koning Willem I Award is granted every two years by the Koning Willem I Foundation, with support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture & Innovation. The Foundation was created in 1958 by a number of industry related organizations and De Nederlandsche Bank. The Foundation has the objective to provide the national economy with new impulses to increase the image of the Dutch business industry.
Vencomatic B.V. Eersel is one of three nominees for the Koning Willem I Award in the category SME. The prestigious nomination is personally handed by the Secretary of the Koning Willem I Foundation, Drs. Gert van der Houwen M.Sc.

The other two nominees in the category SME are Demcon Holding BV from Oldenzaal and Bollegraaf Recycling Machinery uit Appingendam.
The festive ceremony of the prestigious business awards will take place on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Floriade.
