In June, the first hens are placed on Vencomatic’s Bolegg Terrace system
at customer Vaclav Matousek in the Czech Republic. The house for 6.000
birds is build in the city of Cercany, near to the Czech capital Prague.
This is still a small house, but a very important one, as this is seen
as the first modern aviary production unit in the Czech Republic, which
should lead the way for the future.
The birds which placed on the system were reared in the Netherlands, as
at this moment there is a lack of good quality aviary rearing sites in
the Czech Republic. As Vencomatic points out that rearing is one of the
key success factors, the Vencomatic representative mediated in the
purchase of well reared laying hens from the Netherlands. In this way, a
perfect start of this modern aviary production unit was ensured.
The next modern aviary production units are now build in the Czech
Republic. The first Jump Start rearing house for 24.000 hens is now
build and operational in the end of 2010, followed by another Bolegg
Terrace house for 26.000 hens. The Czech Republic has still a large step
to take, considering the fact that the country should also comply to
the European regulations before 2012.
Mr. Matousek delivers his fresh eggs to hotels in Prague and directly to
consumers. He is very satisfied with the support he got from Vencomatic
in his start up; “all went very well in the installation of the system,
which has been done by AGE, the Czech distributor of Vencomatic,
together with an engineer of Vencomatic. Even at the placement of the
birds, there was a poultry specialist of Vencomatic to assist me in the
management.”
